Meet the Owner: Aly Barrass

I was born in Sydney and have lived in different parts of Australia, while working in a variety of educational settings with a wide range of students. My initial teaching degree was in Early Childhood Education, then followed a Masters Degree in Junior Primary and Primary Education as well as a Graduate Diploma in Special Education. I have also personally continued to love learning, achieving a Floristry Diploma and a Bachelor of Visual Art. My husband, John and I have 5 wonderful children and 4 delightful grandchildren (so far), and are the proud owners of Numberworks'nWords Indooroopilly.

Since 2022, I have been the Manager of Numberworks'nWords Ashgrove where I have had the pleasure of working with families and children,to achieve amazing results in Maths and English. Having watched students develop confidence and deeper understanding of their own learning through the process that Numberworks'nWords provides, I wanted to support even more students to feel more positive about their education and have the privilege of working with the wonderful families that join us at our Indooroopilly centre. With a strong skilled team of tutors, we are here to assist your child to achieve further educational milestones while building their confidence in a supportive and fun environment.
