• What ages of children do you teach?
  
  

  We have students aged 5-16, covering the full spectrum of capability. Today, many parents are determined to ensure that their children are confident in the classroom, and developing good attitudes towards learning, right from their first day at school; likewise the importance of secondary qualifications has seen an increase in senior students, particularly around exam time.

  Maths

  We follow the School Syllabus for each Country/State:

  New Zealand		New Entrants - Year 11 (NCEA Year 1)
  Australia	NSW	Kinder - Year 10
  	QLD	Prep - Year 10
  	VIC	Prep - Year 10
  	WA	Pre Primary - Year 10
  UK and UAE		Reception - Year 11, Key Stage 1 (years 1-2), Key Stage 2 (years 3-6) Key Stage 3 (years 7-9), Key Stage 4 (years 10-11) Many children come to us for help with preparation for 11+, SATs, GCSEs, common entrance or school entrance exams.

  English

  Our comprehensive English programme covers reading ages 5 to 12 (Key Stages 1, 2 and 3 in the UK). It includes reading, writing, comprehension, grammar and spelling.

• What abilities do you cater for?
  
  

  NumberWorks'nWords is not just for students who don't perform so well in English and maths. Whatever level your child is at, our individualised approach to their needs can bring out their true potential.

• What does it cost?
  
  

  Fees are $45.00 per lesson in Australia and New Zealand, £24.00 per lesson in the UK, and Dhs 175.00 per lesson in the UAE.

• What are the NumberWorks'nWords term dates?
  
  

  We follow local school terms but many of our centres offer additional holiday and vacation programmes as well. For more information contact your nearest NumberWorks'nWords centre.

• What are the lesson times?
  
  

  Students come for one hour each week, week-days after school. Some centres also offer Saturday mornings. Teaching usually starts at 3:30pm but may vary from centre to centre. We find the day and time that best suits you. For more information contact your nearest NumberWorks’nWords centre.

• How does the free assessment and introductory lesson work?
  
  

  Maths assessments are done at your local centre; This takes up to an hour, depending on when you can drag your child away!

  English assessments are completed one-on-one with the manager, and cover reading, comprehension, spelling and writing.

  The manager will report back to you so that you can discuss the results and recommended programme, along with answering your questions.

  If you want an objective measure of your child's maths or English capability and progress, NumberWorks'nWords expert assessment will provide the information you need - free of charge!

• How relevant is NumberWorks'nWords tuition to my child's school curriculum?
  
  

  NumberWorks'nWords follows the school curriculum. Most importantly, our teaching methods are completely compatible with those used in the classroom. The success of the NumberWorks'nWords students in the classroom and in exams is proof of the effectiveness of the programmes.

• Do you offer Holiday Courses, Back to School Programmes, Exam Preparation & Intensive Study Programmes?
  
  

  Most of our centres offer special programmes for specific needs and special outcomes. To find out what school holiday courses, extra exam preparation and other 'boosters' are available, contact your nearest centre.

• How long will we need to come for lessons?
  
  

  The length of time each child attends NumberWorks'nWords depends on the goals they set for themselves and the level of achievement they want to attain. Some stay for a couple of terms, and others choose to stay longer, setting new goals and striving for further challenges.

• Fun? Cool? Aren't my child's results the important thing?

• Can you help with Times Tables?
  
  

  As parents, you readily identify with the need for your children to master times tables. Learning them is a foundation maths skill essential to future learning and should be mastered at an early age. NumberWorks'nWords maths lessons include a program to master Times Tables whenever this is required.
