Hi, I’m Cam, owner of NumberWorks’nWords Carina.
I’m passionate about helping children build confidence and achieve great results through personalised Maths and English tutoring. Over the years, I’ve seen first-hand how the right support can transform not only academic progress but also a student’s motivation and mindset toward learning.
With a background in Civil Engineering and 12 years of service as an engineer in the Royal Australian Air Force, I’ve always valued precision, problem-solving and growth — qualities that naturally carry through to education.

Hi, I’m Jacq, the Centre Manager at NumberWorks’nWords Carina, your local maths and English tutoring centre helping children from primary to Year 10 build confidence and achieve lasting academic success.
With a background in education, community leadership, and student development, I’m passionate about helping young learners discover their strengths and enjoy learning. Before joining NumberWorks’nWords, I led programs supporting children and families across Australia, helping them build strong study habits and lifelong learning skills.
As a published author and professional speaker, I love inspiring curiosity, creativity, and confidence, values I bring into every session at our Carina tutoring centre. I also work closely with our dedicated team of tutors to ensure every student receives a personalised learning program designed to improve results and motivation in both maths and English.

What are the lesson times?
Our centres run one-hour tutoring sessions after school, Monday to Friday, usually starting from 3:30pm. We aim to be as flexible as possible to fit around your child’s other activities. Just let us know what works best for you!
What ages do you teach?
We work with students aged 5 to 16, covering all levels of ability; from early learners to those preparing for exams or needing extension work (more of challenge).
What subjects do you teach?
At NumberWorks'nWords we specialise in both maths and English.
What happens if my child is sick and can't make it?
Let us know as soon as possible. We’ll cancel your child’s tutoring session for that day and schedule a make-up session during the same term.
